Dubious borders
Between which dates borders can one lock up a culture or his origin? Where to fix the beginning and the end of it? The fall of the Roman Empire itself does not achieve the unanimity to mark the term of it. The dates divide between 378 after J. - C. (Roman disaster with Andrinople, vis-a-vis Goths), 395 (death of Théodose and division of the Roman Empire in two parts), 410, more generally allowed (catch and bag of Rome by Alaric), 415 (foundation of the kingdom Visigoth of Toulouse), or 476 (deposition of the last emperor of Occident, Romulus, known as Augustule, by Odoacre, date which mark the final collapse of the Roman Empire).
The Antiquity, which is cultural concept, should have cultural borders, events which symbolize the passage of a design of the man to another. It is on this point that grows hollow the gap between the ancient companies themselves, which have an idea of the man, and those, antiquated, which precede them or mix with them, where such a thought is absent.
